George Dixon Senior Consultant

George Dixon is a Senior Consultant at the American Business Development Group, an internationally respected, full-spectrum business development consulting firm, now representing a diverse list of over fifty prominent U.S. and international businesses. American Business Development Group enjoys a reputation as the largest business development firm in the United States which specializes in the re-equipping and modernization of the United States Armed Forces. The firm has facilitated more than $680,000,000 in “new found sales” for client companies in the last year and historically each year for the last four years.

Mr. Dixon brings a unique blend of government and corporate defense experience to meet clients' business growth expectations. He is a leader in business planning, customer analysis and has extensive success in capturing large complex programs, thus enabling clients to achieve financial and business goals. He directed corporate business development organizations that grew information technology (IT) business across the command and control, space ground stations, intelligence, homeland security, logistics, transportation, and battle management domains. During over ten years on the Air Staff and with the National Security Agency he gained an in-depth working understanding of defense and intelligence issues.

Mr. Dixon retired from the US Air Force in the grade of Colonel as the Chief, Electronic Warfare Division, Warner Robins ALC providing depot logistics support and software maintenance for all airborne electronic warfare systems for USAF, Joint and international customers. In addition he was the Program Director for over ten major system upgrade programs. He was twice assigned to Headquarters, USAF, once in Air Force Operations and later in Research and Development. In these assignments he was deeply involved in the entire budget and programming cycle and a key player in developing and implementing polices to sell electronic warfare systems to coalition partners. Prior to his first Pentagon tour he was assigned to the National Security Agency as a project manager and collection manager working with all agencies within the Intelligence Community.

Following his Air Force career he gained extensive international corporate business development experience in the United Kingdom, Egypt, Venezuela, and built an incorporated joint venture company in Turkey as part of the Turkish F-16 electronic warfare program. For the past ten years he has focused on the domestic defense and intelligence markets leveraging IT to provide government customers with mission critical solutions. In January 2004 he established GWD Consulting and in 2004 and 2005 GWD Consulting clients either captured large programs or increased their sales based on his partnering and methods. In late 2005 he joined American Business Development Group to lead the Information Technology practice.

Mr. Dixon hails from New York City. He received is Bachelor's degree in Social Studies from New York University and his Master's in Public Financial Management from George Washington University.
