EnerSys® Expands DoD Battery Offering by Introducing Their Performance Series Battery to the Military Market

Designed with the same rugged construction as the Hawker® A+ and MILPC batteries, the new EnerSys® ODYSSEY® Performance Series batteries offer equivalent deep cycling capabilities, long service life and high reliability. ODYSSEY® Performance Series batteries are designed specifically for applications which do not require as many cold cranking amps (CCA) and reserve capacity (RC) minutes as batteries from the Hawker® product lines. However, the ODYSSEY® Performance Series still delivers more deep cycling capabilities for parasitic loads than conventional batteries.

Michael Hurst, American Business Development Group Vice President of Land Systems, said, “We are pleased to offer a line of batteries with pricing and performance tailored for these cost- and weight-sensitive applications. These batteries still maintain the rugged construction and high performance of Hawker®  batteries.”

“The introduction of the ODYSSEY® Performance Series validates EnerSys’s commitment to the warfighter and provides our market with another excellent product line from the premier battery supplier to the Defense Industry,” said Bill Skipper, ABDG President and CEO.
