Kent Moorhouse, Director, Defense Automotive Division

Mr. Kent Moorhouse is the Director, Defense Automotive Division for American Business Development Group, an internationally respected, full spectrum business development consulting firm, now representing a diverse list of over 50 prominent United States and international businesses. American Business Development Group enjoys a reputation as one of the largest business development firms in the United States which specializes in the re-equipping and modernization of the United States Armed Services.

Mr. Moorhouse has extensive experience in the defense automotive industry. Before joining ABDG, Mr. Moorhouse was the Detroit Defense Corridor Director of Marketing, Elbit Systems of America.

Mr. Moorhouse also worked as the Product Manager, Armored Security Vehicle and Deputy Product Manager, Stryker Future Enhancements at Detroit Arsenal, Michigan. In these positions he led complex product teams of government and contractor employees. The budget parameters he maintained were between $850,000 to $1,100,000 for development and procurement.

From 2002 – 2005 Mr. Moorhouse was the Director, Ground Weapon Systems Readiness Officer at the Defense Supply Center, Columbus, Ohio, where he was responsible for procurement and inventory management of over 80% of all repair parts for all ground vehicles in the Department of Defense. Prior to that, he served as an Unlimited Warranted Contingency Contracting Officer and Deputy Commander of the XVIII Airborne Corps Contingency Contracting Office. Prior to assuming duties in the Army Acquisition Corps, he served in a variety of Infantry and Logistics Command and Staff positions.

Mr. Moorhouse received his Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Westfield State College; he then received his Master of Science in Administration at Central Michigan University. He is Defense Acquisition Career Level III Certified in the Program Management, Contracting, Systems Engineering and level II certified in Acquisition Logistics.
