Landis Cook Aerospace Operations Consultant

Landis Cook (Colonel, Air National Guard retired) is an Aerospace Operations consultant at American Business Development Group, an internationally respected, full-spectrum business development-consulting firm, now representing a diverse list of over fifty prominent U.S. and international businesses. American Business Development Group enjoys a reputation as the largest business development firm in the United States which specializes in the re-equipping and modernization of the United States Armed Forces.

Mr. Cook graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 1983 and completed flight school in 1984 where he earned his wings and was assigned the A-10 Warthog. During his career, he was assigned in the Pacific, Europe and the U.S. where he held leadership positions from the squadron level to the Headquarters level. His assignments include Instructor Pilot at the USAF Fighter Weapons School, Test Pilot at the 422 Test Squadron, Chief of Operations and Training Headquarters Air Combat Command and Air National Guard Advisor to the Air Combat Command Director of Air and Space Operations. He flew A-10s in Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom in addition to six other combat deployments. Mr. Cook brings a unique blend of over twenty-six years of operational and headquarters level experience and leadership with the regular United States Air Force and the Air National Guard.

During his tour at Air Combat Command, Mr. Cook gained invaluable experiences, skills, and relationships as both a subject matter expert in weapons and tactics, and as a Division Chief on the ACC Staff. He managed the $150M munitions program for the ANG and the multimillion-dollar flying hour program at ACC, consulted on munitions and aircraft modernization programs, and built requirements to meet future capabilities in USAF/ANG programs. His divisions were invaluable in providing ready aircrew properly trained, equipped and standardized for the Combatant Commanders. His collaborative style was a crucial factor in many successful National Guard Bureau and Air Combat Command programs.

A native of Myrtle Beach, SC, Mr. Cook received his undergraduate degree from the United States Air Force Academy and a Masters degree from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. He and his wife have three children and reside in Smithfield, VA.
