Michael P. Cline Senior Consultant

Michael P. Cline, Master Sergeant (Retired) is a Senior Consultant with the American Business Development Group, an internationally respected, full-spectrum business development consulting firm, now representing a diverse list of over fifty prominent U.S. and international businesses. American Business Development Group enjoys a reputation as the largest business development firm in the United States which specializes in the re-equipping and modernization of the United States Armed Forces.

Mr. Cline served as the Executive Director of the Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States (EANGUS) from 1990 until December 31, 2010. He was the Executive Director/CEO of the EANGUS Service Corporation, and the Chief Executive Officer of the EANGUS “We Care for America” Foundation. As the Executive Director of EANGUS, he represented the constituency of the association – more than 414,000 Enlisted men and women of the National Guard, all National Guard retirees, and family members of these patriots.

He also has served as the President of The Military Coalition (TMC) a consortium of 32 military, veterans, and uniformed services organizations representing over 5.5 million members of the uniformed services–active, reserve, retired, survivors, veterans–and their families for the past five years. Cline served as Co-Chairman of the TMC for eight years and Co-Chaired the Guard and Reserve Subcommittee which he helped form after Operation Desert Shield/Storm. He also served on the Secretary of Veterans’ Affairs Advisory Committee on Education for 11 years and was an ex-officio member of the Board of Directors of the National Guard Youth Challenge Foundation. He also served as a Trustee of the National Guard Association of the United States Insurance Trust. He is listed in Strathmore’s Who’s Who in Business and Distinguished Member Who’s Who Worldwide.

Academically, he holds an Associates degree in Business Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from Malone College in Canton, Ohio. He also is a licensed Realtor, Notary Public, General Class Amateur Radio and holds a teaching certificate in vocational education.

Mr. Cline has been recognized by numerous state and National Associations, most recently having been honored by the South Carolina Military Department with the State’s highest award – the Meritorious Service Medal. He is a recipient of The Military Coalition, Award of Merit which has been in the past reserved for members of Congress and was recognized by the Reserve Forces Policy Board for his support of the Guard and Reserve. He has received the Distinguished Service Award from the National Guard Association and was also recognized by the Chief of National Guard Bureau with the National Guard Bureau EAGLE award. He was awarded EANGUS’ highest award, the Minuteman Statue. The Medal of Honor society presented Cline with a Desert Storm Artist Proof picture signed by 140 Medal of Honor recipients for his work with the Veterans Against Drugs Program.

He is married to the former Diana Crawford and has seven children, fifteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.
