Randy Krug Joins American Business Development Group

Arlington, VA, May 3, 2010

Colonel (Ret) Randall (Randy) Krug has accepted the position as Director of American Business Development Group’s Training and Simulation Division effective immediately. Colonel Krug brings an additional 42 years of military, government civil service and contractor service experience to ABDG’s organization supporting our current and future client base.

Mr. Krug’s final active duty military assignment was Chief, Training Division, Army National Guard (NGB-ART). Upon retirement in 2000, he consulted for private and public entities and became a Scientific, Engineering & Technical Assistant (SETA) Contractor for NGB-ART. For the last five years, Mr. Krug has been the Division Chief of the National Guard Bureau’s Joint Advanced Concepts & Doctrine Division (J73) providing educational opportunities for its soldiers, airmen and civilians in all categories of educational preparedness.

Mr. Krug was commissioned an Infantry Officer at age 20 at Fort Benning, Georgia. After commanding the 1/126 Field Artillery Battalion of the Wisconsin National Guard, he attended the US Army War College. After graduation from the War College, he was assigned to the U.S. Department of Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). Upon promotion to Colonel, he became a DARPA Program Manager. Colonel Krug’s developments while with DARPA include the pioneering use of personal computers to provide synthetic environments for virtual simulators.
