D. Allen Youngman Senior Consultant

Major General (Retired) D. Allen Youngman is a Senior Consultant at American Business Development Group, an internationally respected, full-spectrum business development consulting firm, now representing a diverse list of over fifty prominent U.S. and international businesses. American Business Development Group enjoys a reputation as one of the largest business development firms in the United States which specializes in the re-equipping and modernization of the United States Armed Forces.

General Youngman serves as a government relations consultant to a number of defense-oriented companies.

General Youngman is a recognized expert in the fields of national security operations, force structure, United States Armed Forces policy and training support. Prior to his retirement, he served as the fiftieth Adjutant General of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. His significant active duty assignments included tours with the 8th Special Forces Group (Airborne); the Military Assistance Command, Vietnam; and the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault).

In 1997, General Youngman served as a Senior Defense Policy Analyst on the staff of the National Defense Panel followed by assignment to the Office of the Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff. Prior to being nominated as the Adjutant General, he served as the Special Assistant to the Commanding General, United States Army Armor Center, Fort Knox, Kentucky. He retired in 2003 with more than 34 years of service in the active Army, Army National Guard, and United States Army Reserve.

A native of Owensboro, Kentucky, General Youngman received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Kentucky and also holds a Juris Doctor from the University Of Kentucky College Of Law. He is a published author and is married to the former Alisa Cossey of Bowling Green, Kentucky.
