Mr. Clark served 21 years in the U.S. Army, achieving the rank of Sergeant First Class. His vast experience in all facets of maintenance operations includes assignments as a Wheel Vehicle Mechanic, Maintenance Shop Foreman, Quality Control Inspector, Maintenance Control Supervisor, Brigade Maintenance Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO), Support Operations NCO In-Charge (NCOIC), and Senior Maintenance Supervisor. His military career includes multiple world-wide assignments including locations that span the United States as well as Afghanistan and Iraq during combat operations.
In the latter part of his military career, Mr. Clark served as the Senior Maintenance Supervisor for 3rd ABCT (Armored Brigade Combat Team). In this position, he managed the brigade’s maintenance budget by monitoring expenditures, maintaining a property logbook, and ensuring the accountability of all tools, equipment, repair parts, and supplies. Furthermore, he supervised production control by assigning and tracking work orders, as well as maintenance man hours. As a senior leader, he provided technical advice, assistance, and instruction concerning the maintenance and use of materials and equipment to the Soldiers and senior leaders of the Brigade. He managed the conduct of 800+ technical inspections on over 2500 pieces of rolling stock equipment. Additionally, he developed, recommended, and implemented changes to the unit’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) that governed the maintenance and logistical operations of the Brigade.
Upon retiring from the Army, Mr. Clark served as a Senior Logistics Analyst for the US Navy. In that position, he analyzed various manpower and personnel requirements and provided recommendations designed to optimize operating conditions. He also participated in various maintenance planning and analysis, logistical support analysis, and supervised employee training. He also sourced specialized equipment or oversaw the fabrication of equipment in support of the US Navy Testing and Evaluation Detachment (LLS 1 Desert Ship) at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico.
In 2020, Mr. Clark moved to Billings, Montana and was employed as a Terminal Manager for Coach USA (Powder River Transportation). His primary duties included asset management, personnel scheduling, and maintenance operations for the local terminal, supporting the transportation of approximately 1000 miners to and from their worksite each day.
