Ron Johnson Senior Consultant

In January 2015, Ron Johnson teamed with American Business Development Group, an internationally respected, full spectrum business development consulting firm, as a Senior Consultant exclusively focused on the Tactical Wheeled Vehicles business sector. American Business Development Group enjoys a reputation as one of the largest business development firms in the United States which specializes in the re-equipping and modernization of the United States Armed Forces.

Ron Johnson most recently served as Vice President, Land Warfare Systems, in DRS Washington Operations. Prior to that, he served for over six years in the Washington office of Engineered Support Systems, Inc. (ESSI) before it was acquired by DRS. He also served in the Washington office of ESCO Electronics, Inc. and with Lockheed Martin Washington Operations before returning to ESSI.

Mr. Johnson was a career Army officer, serving as a field artilleryman for almost 21 years before joining ESCO Electronics in January 1998. His final Army assignments were as Chief, Materiel Requirements and Integration, Directorate of Combat Developments, United States Army Field Artillery School, Fort Sill, Oklahoma; Army Joint Requirements Oversight Council (JROC) Planner, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations and Plans (ODCSOPS), Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA), Pentagon; and Systems and Organizational Integrator, Fire Support Division, ODCSOPS.

In 1995, he received the Pace Award, given annually by the Secretary of the Army to the HQDA staff officer whose performance best benefits the Army.

Other assignments include command and staff positions within field artillery units in Alaska, Korea, Fort Sill and Germany.

Mr. Johnson is the Immediate Past Chairman of the Tactical Wheeled Vehicles Division of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) and immediate Past President of the 2nd Region of the Association of the United States (Army). He is also the Decretary/Treasurer of the Tac Wheels Association. He is a past Chairman of the Corporate Advisory Panel for the National Guard Association of the United States (NGAUS) and is a member of the Field Artillery Association, the Reserve Officers Association (ROA), the Air Force Association (AFA), and the Marine Corps Association (MCA).

Mr. Johnson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and a Master of Arts in Management from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri.
