American Business Development Group is pleased to announce that Master Sergeant (Retired) Mike Cline, former Executive Director of the Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States (EANGUS), and former President of The Military Coalition (TMC) has recently joined our team.
Mike brings decades of Active Duty, National Guard, Reserve, legislative and corporate experience to the ABDG team. As the Executive Director of EANGUS, he represented the constituency of the association—more than 414,000 enlisted men and women of the National Guard, all National Guard retirees, and family members of these patriots. Mike also served as the President of The Military Coalition (TMC), a consortium of 32 military, veterans, and uniformed services organizations representing over 5.5 million members of the uniformed services–active, reserve, retired, survivors, veterans–and their families for over five years.
His legislative accomplishments over the past twenty-one years are commendable as one of the longest serving Executive Directors in the Military Association Community. During Mike’s tenure he successfully lobbied for billions of dollars for the National Guard Reserve Equipment Account (NGREA). ABDG’s President and CEO, Bill Skipper said, “Mike is known on Capitol Hill as one of the most respected advocates for Guard, Reserve and Veterans issues. I’ve known Mike now for going on 20 years and am proud to have him on our team!”
Mike has been recognized by numerous State and National Associations, most recently having been honored by the South Carolina Military Department with the State’s highest award – the Meritorious Service Medal. He is a recipient of The Military Coalition Award of Merit, which has been in the past reserved for members of Congress and was recognized by the Reserve Forces Policy Board for his support of the Guard and Reserve. He was awarded EANGUS’ highest award, the Minuteman Statue.
Mike is married to the former Diana Crawford and has seven children, fifteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. Diana retired from the D.C. Air National Guard with more than 25 years of military service.
