AMERICAN BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT GROUP ANNOUNCES THE PROMOTION OF MICHAEL W. HURST TO CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Michael Hurst has accepted the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) of American Business Development Group (ABDG), effective immediately. Mr. Hurst will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of ABDG, as well as the formation and execution of the annual Strategic Plan, budget, and business development.

Mr. Hurst joined ABDG in 2006 to stand up and manage the highly successful Defense Automotive Group in Michigan. In 2009, he relocated to the metro DC area to join the ABDG corporate staff as Vice President of Military Programs, where he assumed the added responsibilities of new business initiatives and improving ABDG’s internal business processes. He will also direct the expansion and management of additional ABDG offices to be announced later this year.

Mr. Hurst came to ABDG from the commercial automotive market. His experience is a blend of experience in both defense and private industry. Before joining ABDG, Mr. Hurst held senior positions in automotive related companies, including sales and marketing and account and program management. He also served as a commissioned Army officer at the Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command in the Program Manager, Tactical Wheeled Vehicle office. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master’s in Business Administration.
