Colonel (R) Charles B. Powley Joins American Business Development Group

Arlington, VA, February 7, 2011- American Business Development Group (ABDG) is pleased to announce that retired Air National Guard Colonel Charles B. Powley has accepted the position of Senior Consultant with the company. Col Powley retired from Federal service in December 2011 and brings more than 23 years of military, government civil service and contractor service experience to ABDG’s organization, supporting our current and future client base.

Col Powley began his military career in 1987 after graduating from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and attended the Navigation school at Mather/Castle Air Force Base and later Pilot School at Reese Air Force Base. In 2002, Col Powley was appointed Chief of the Operations Training Division for the National Guard Bureau in Arlington, VA. While in this position, Col Powley led staff officers and enlisted personnel in the development of formal flying training programs for 19 types of aircrafts and executed over $42 million in simulator contracts.

In 2008, Col Powley was appointed as the Chief of the Operations and Training Division for the National Guard Bureau in Crystal City, Virginia, where he was responsible for developing and implementing operational policies and procedures with Air Force headquarters and Major Commands for combat aviation, mobility aviation, and special mission aircraft. Col Powley served in this role until joining ABDG upon his retirement.
